Talks on Kinetic Art/Art & Technology/Balancing

I love to talk about my kinetic art and scientific work, the creation and the development, the context with art and science, and the theory behind it. Depending on your wishes I can adapt my talks to any type of public to give them a wonderful and inspiring experience.

Some possible topics of my talk:

- General talk on the development of my kinetic art: 'The Expression of Motion' with an overview of the sculptures from the beginning until now and the stories behind them.

- Talk on the development and production of the large Taaie Tiller sculpture, how the sculpture was made and on the project of the super large version for Rotterdam. 

- Talk on Kinetic Architecture in which I show the limitations of the state of the art designs and reveal the potential of inherent balance for large movable buildings and structures such as bridges and roofs. 

- General talk on the connection between Art & Technology, in which I will tell a story to show their strong relation, with examples from the ancient time until nowadays.

- Talk focussed on designing (inherently) statically and dynamically balanced mechanisms, kinetic sculptures, movable devices, robotic manipulators, etc., in which I explain all about the theory and the state of the art, which can be given at an easy level for the general public or at a highly expert level for academia and the High-Tech industry.
